Job Information
Currently I'm working at the Risk Management Division of the KBC Bank
in Brussels as Advisor for the section Methodology.
I'm also working as a volunteer at the department
of mathematics, Katholieke Universiteit
Leuven where I worked as assistent from 1992 to1999. One part of my
job consisted of teaching (algebra) to the undergraduate students in mathematics,
informatics and physics. The other part consisted of doing research in
mathematics, more specifically in algebraic topology, number theory and
algebraic geometry. Some of my research topics are Principal Value Integrals,
Igusa's Zetafunctions, Cohomology, Real and Complex Arrangements.
Prof. Jan
Denef (Mathematics) was my supervisor in preparing my Ph.D. Thesis.

principal value integrals , to appear in Monatshefte fur Mathematik.
- My Ph.D. Thesis: My
Ph.D. Thesis is titled "Principal Value Integrals, Cohomology and
Igusa's Zeta Functions". Principal value integrals were first introduced
by R.Langlands. They appear as the coefficients of the asymptotic expansion
of fibre integrals and of oscillating integrals. They also appear as residues
of poles of Igusa's local zeta functions. The main result in the thesis
gives a condition in terms of cohomology for the vanishing of principal
value integrals.
