Welcome to the section of analysis homepage

Welcome to the homepage of the section analysis of the Department of Mathematics, part of the K.U. Leuven. The section consists of two research groups, one in Classical Analysis and one in Functional Analysis. The Classical Analysis group is mainly interested in Orthogonal Polynomials, Special Functions, Approximation Theory and Riemann-Hilbert problems, whereas the Functional Analysis group focusses its attention on von Neumann algebras, measurable group theory, ergodic theory and quantum groups. There are however important synergies between both kinds of Analysis.
