The Centre for Plasma-Astrophysics celbrates its 20th anniversary (February 20-24, 2012)
From February 20 till February 24, 2012, the Centre for Plasma-Astrophysics celebrates its 20th anniversary with a 5-day workshop.
The aims of the workshop are:
- the first annual progress meeting of the FP7-project SWIFF (www.swiff.eu)
- celebrate the 20 year existence of the Centre for Plasma Astrophysics (Math Department, K.U.Leuven)
- honor the upcoming emeritus status of its founder, Prof. Marcel Goossens
- present the space weather integrated forecasting framework (SWIFF) progress
- revisit acquired knowledge and achievements made through Centre for Plasma Astrophysics research
