10th International Symposium on Orthogonal Polynomials, Special Functions and Applications
Leuven (Belgium), July 20-25, 2009
The tenth International Symposium on Orthogonal Polynomials, Special Functions and Applications took place at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium. The first announcement was sent out in December 2008. A poster of the meeting was sent out in February 2009.
Social programme
- There was an opening reception in the main building of the University on Monday, July 20, with a selection of Belgian beers.
- On Tuesday, July 21 there was an opening of an exhibition of the mathematician Gemma Frisius (1508-1555) in the Campus Library Arenberg, followed by a reception.
- On Wednesday, July 22 there was an excursion to Bokrijk, an open air museum with more than 100 historic buildings, rebuilt in their original condition. The excursion was followed by a dinner (and rain).
- The official conference dinner was on Thursday, July 23 in the 13th century infirmerie of the Grand Beguinage (Faculty Club).
