Abstract: With the conclusion of the Elliott Classification Program about a decade ago, a lot of research has been conducted on determining which C*-algebras are classifiable, i.e. satisfy the conditions of the classification theorem. After reviewing the relevant machinery developed to address this problem for crossed products of actions of discrete groups on compact metrizable spaces, I will present some recent results on actions of several groups of dynamical origin. This is based on joint work with Petr Naryshkin.
