Laureate 2024 Vicent Caselles Prize

Alberto Rodríguez Vázquez, postdoc in the Department of Mathematics, section of Geometry, is one of the six laureates of the 2024 Vicent Caselles Prize, awarded by the Royal Spanish Mathematical Society to young Spanish mathematicians (sponsored by the bank BBVA).

One of the other laureates, María Alonso Pena, also has a strong bond with our department: she is a former postdoc in the Statistics Department. She is currently visiting and will teach one of the Selected Topics courses next academic year.
